Vandana > February 2, 2007 - red-tail hawk in flight the only way I know it was a red tail is that in my not so good picture from another angle, it had one :)!

Vandana > December 24, 2006 - Sandhill crane flight In Bosque for the day..very few decent shots; they say the numbers are the same or more of cranes and snow geese, but they're nowhere to be seen now..between Nov and Dec, the huge masses, the noise is no longer there..a little disappointing..but when they close they still look great :) just one more close-up here

I was pleasantly surprised today when a huge box full of 20 calenders arrived at my place in mail -addressed to 'calender winners'- It was the New Mexico 'Scenes of enchantment' 2007 calender printed by the FOX channel and February has MY PICTURE titled 'New Mexico rocks' !!!!..Sent long back and forgotten,I guess it must have come on the local FOX news some day, but who watches TV !! first they pick a weekly winner for the year, then feature 12 in the calender.. published as a photographer for the first time :)!!
Vandana > December 3, 2006 - Canada Geese take-off - in an icy lake I had to overexpose that to get the wings in decent exposure..they don't look so cool while sitting ,and they open up :)
